The festival of Celeste

The festival of Celeste

Can you guess what's our favorite part of carnival? Besides soca music?

Just like Machel, we love to see decorated bikinis! (It's the bling for me baby!) There is nothing else like it; beautiful women, rapturous smiles, and gems gleaming as they dance in sun. Carnival is a true celebration of culture, history, and rebellion.

Due to the impact Covid-19 had on many lives, the way we play had been temporarily changed. The large gatherings of Carnival were without a doubt unsafe, and a play ground for the spreading of disease and infection. Throughout lockdowns and curfews people found new and old hobbies or mediums of entertainment. For us, the urge to put on a sexy costume and parade the streets still lingered. The same way the urge lingers after every carnival to take one more jump, as if we didn’t spend the last few weeks partying nonstop. Upon carnival’s return, we set an intention to never take those moments for granted ever again. We wanted to find a way to implement more of those moments into our every day lives and carry the joy of the spirit of carnival along with us. (Because who are we kidding, sometimes listening to soca music is not satisfying enough!)

Carnival is an experience tailored to our essence! It’s rhythmic, liberating, colorful, and infectious. Here at Carnival Celeste, we’ve created space for the time we didn’t get, or weren’t allowed to play. The only time where we display our love and gratitude for the culture and our ancestors as a unit.

We’re bedazzling women as they grow, celebrate, and create. As a carnival-ista, soca lover, whining queen, swimwear junkie, newcomer, or true masquerader, this version of mas is for you. We understand that you may not always get to touch the road in a costume, or the festival may have ended too soon, leaving you with nothing but sweet memories. In hopes to ease your tabanka, we are embellishing elements of carnival for you take to places we've never been before, all year long.
